About me

Psychotherapy is a five year training and required me to see a therapist myself, so I know what it feels like to be a client.

My academic training was important as a foundation but what I value more is the relationship with clients.

I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute in London, which is affiliated to Middlesex University.  I hold previous qualifications in social work and teaching.

I am a Registered Practitioner/Accredited Therapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and an affiliated member of the Metanoia Institute.

I work as a counsellor, psychotherapist, supervisor and facilitator and tutor.

I have over twenty years experience in counselling and psychotherapy and spent nineteen years working in a Hospice in the Thames Valley.

I receive referrals from a number of sources including general practitioners.

Code of ethics

I adhere to the UKCP Ethics for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Continuing professional development

I continue to train each year so that I keep myself up to date. I am currently a Tutor and sit on the Viva Exam Panel at the Metanoia Institute as my continuing commitment to new therapists and education.

Visit my Appointments page for information on session duration and fees.
